Has your vehicle been determined to be a total loss?

If so, you have the right to buy it back from the insurance companies. This allows you to keep your car and even have it repaired even though it has been deemed a total. This is a good option for customers who love and trust their old car, but had it determined to be a total loss.

When buying back your car, it is important to talk to your insurance company to make sure you know what kind of changes need to be made to your title.

Are you being pressured by your insurance company about repairs?

If your insurance company is attempting to get you to have your repairs done at any shop other than the one of your choosing, that is called steering.

You have the legal right to have your car repaired at any shop you choose.

If an insurance company has made a deal with an auto shop, it usually means that your repairs will be done under certain guidelines, which can result in lesser quality. You may hear things like, "We cannot guarantee the work from the shop you have chosen" or "It might take longer for the repairs because it can take several days to get an adjustor to that shop" from your insurance company.

In response to this, BF Bodyworks Inc. has a lifetime warranty on all workmanship, ensures your car will be inspected in a timely manner, and doesn't charge more than what the insurance companies are paying in the area.

You may find that your insurance company has an agreement with us, which means that they have allowed us to put quality and customer service first, and will still allow you to choose where to take your car.

Not sure if your vehicle will benefit from paintless dent repair?

If you have hail damage on your car, this is one of the beset options to reverse it. A number of tools and techniques will be used to push the dent back out without damage or needing to refinish the area. Sharp dents are not good candidates for this kind of repair.

Most insurance companies choose to use this method for hail damage.

Have questions about caring for your new paint job?

During the first 30 days, make sure you treat your paint with the utmost care:

• Wash your vehicle in the shade so the soap doesn't dry to the surface

• Wash using car wash soap and a soft sponge

• Do not wipe your vehicle dry

• Avoid gravel roads to prevent chipping

• Don't park under trees that drop sap

• If you spill gas or another liquid on the paint, rinse it immediately with water. Don't wipe it

• Rinse bird droppings off as soon as possible
